Wake up the scoldings that come after Jimmy Carr (Again) for the 9/11 Joke

Since when does “too soon” become “never if we say so?”

Documentary in 2021″Too Soon: Comedy After 9/11“Reviewed how comedians responded to the September 11 terrorist attacks. It’s a fascinating look at culture, humor, and how people react to tragedy.

An important thing?

Comedy is more important than ever after the attacks. It allows people to heal, process pain, and then, hold political leaders accountable for their subsequent reactions.

Except for some scolding ready, willing and able to punish the comics for telling the 9/11 joke… more than 20 years later. And the media is playing right in their hands or in some cases it continues to grow.

British comedian Jimmy Carr loves to tell jokes that make it difficult for us to understand. It’s his brand, and he built that reputation earlier this year with a bit tied to the Holocaust.

“When people talk about the Holocaust, they talk about the tragedy and horror of the 6 million Jewish lives lost to the Nazi war machine. But they never mentioned the thousands of Gypsies that were killed by the Nazis. Nobody wants to talk about it, because nobody wants to talk about the positives.”

Cancel Culture’s subsequent attack proved substantial, with some lawmakers suggesting Carr should be jailed for his comments.

Now, Carr is back under the microscope for another joke.

Welcome to the year 2022.

His latest offensive joke, captured via “Netflix’s Best Thing Is A Joke: Festivals,” circle back 11/9.

“Now you might think this is silly, but it’s absolutely true,” he said. “When Zayn left One Direction, it was like 9/11 for me – I didn’t care about that either.

“I was actually supposed to be on one of the planes on 9/11, but the more interesting story is how I met Osama.”

The British Daily Mirror started the Cancel Culture fire, quoting two random people who don’t like the joke. However, they are enough to start a story. And more than one article on this topic.

The right-leaning Daily Mail followed suit and it did so using the oldest trick in the book Cancellation Culture for journalists.

MailOnline has reached out to Netflix and Jimmy’s representatives for comment.

What kind of comments are they looking for? Carr wrote and told jokes. Netflix, which previously shared “Jimmy Carr: His Dark Material” and “Funny Business,” aired it to see how Cancel Culture works.

It’s the reporters that bully storytelling used to silence free speech.

The sun is piling up, also called it “bombshell gagging”. Hope the audience didn’t get hit by any shrapnel. Indy100.com join the battleclutching its pearls that Carr is a repeat offender.

And 9/11 wasn’t the only horrifying tragedy Carr used in his comedy – if that’s the case.

Comedy is equal to tragedy plus time“Going down the old saw line, which too many people want to get rid of.

Wait until journalists know how George Carlin Wishes To Die about innocent people at the end of their careers.

We never said how many people were “outraged” by the jokes mentioned. It’s also not clear why we need to be protected from jokes that a very small minority find annoying.

Journalists just want clicks and, if possible, funny scales for their mantle.
