Wake Up Jimmy Kimmel Attacked For ‘White Privilege’ Emmy Gag

Turned out slap a presenteris not the only way to infuriate the crowd watching the awards.

You may simply lie down, motionless, for the procedure.

Comic wake-up Jimmy Kimmel learned that lesson the hard way Monday at the annual Emmys television show. The host of The Far Left of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” presented the award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series alongside Will Arnett of “Arrested Development” fame.

Kimmel pretended to be beaten for “skinny margarine” after his show lost to HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” for best late-night series.

The former “Man Show” host was trapped, lying on the stage as if he had lost power. Arnett announced the star/creator of “Abbott Elementary,” Quinta Brunson won the Emmy for Best Writing, and she delivered her acceptance speech near a prone Kimmel.

Social media then lit up with viewers who felt the moment downplayed Brunson’s moment. The New York Post, among many stores, weighed down with anger.

It is “white man’s privilege,” they cried.

Ironically could not be richer.

RELATED: WHY IS JIMMY KIMMEL NOT CANCELED?

Kimmel was part of the palace guard who stayed up late. He defends Democrats and progressives, rarely (If ever) igniting libertarians like Cancel Culture and the awakened revolution. That pose protected him from his comedic past.

He has previously worn blackface many times to impersonate NBA great Karl Malone and Oprah Winfrey. His “Man Show” featured girls in skimpy clothes dancing on men’s trousers to be called “the male gaze.”

None of that came back to haunt him. Why? He proved a fiercely progressive fighter, and the mob woke up unwilling to cancel one of them.

Finally he did sorry for the bad momentsbut in a boxed statement filled with scathing stinging for his critics.

However, you can never be too awake, or too perfect in the eyes of the Left Wing.

Brunson seems to be a good sport at gagging. She praised Kimmel as a funny godfather but still left enough room in her post-award comments to become annoyed with the stuntman.

She reserves the right to “punch him” at a later date.

Victim status is fascinating, and she may have realized she could gain more attention, and influence in the industry, by realizing Kimmel had hurt her Emmy moment.

Brunson is scheduled to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” later this week. This is betting that he will issue an unfortunate apology on his personal platform.

He may not have a choice at the time.
