Volkswagen introduced new modular, mini portable camping units for Caravelle, Visiting California Beach and Caddy range, offering a kitchen area, bed, water supply and additional storage space which the manufacturer has dubbed ‘mobile home in a box’.
With more people going on holiday in the UK this year due to Covid-19 travel restrictions and growing demand for camping equipment, Volkswagen is offering a range of units to suit regions. existing luggage and help make life on the road a little more manageable. Designed to give owners more flexibility, the kitchen can be set up and ready to cook in seconds, while the bed opens with a single movement.
The flagship BusBox is available from £3,340 and is compatible with Volkswagen Caravelle Models T5, T6 and T6.1, have a bed, mattress, kitchen area (with space for a two-burner stove), expandable storage area, and water supply. Another version of the BusBox, which does not include the mattress, is available to Caravelle and California Beach Tour owners, from £2,555.
The £2,760 KombiBox is only available for the Caddy range and comes with a bed, kitchen area, water supply and cargo space while, for £495, owners can also specify a mattress urgent.
