Vocaloid producer Kanaria releases the song McDonald’s Fries
Kanaria, a Vocaloid producer known for songs like “King,” “Envy Baby,” and “Queen,” wrote a song for McDonald’s french fries. You can listen to the song through the official McDonald’s X account (formerly known as Twitter).
The song is a full cover of “King”, his most famous song. However, the lyrics are different and the title is now “Fries”. The lyrics are about someone who wants to eat fries because they don’t have enough burgers so they go eat McDonald’s fries when they’re on sale. This is one of McDonald’s Japan’s many collaborations for their current french fries campaign. Until November 22, 2024you only need to pay 250 JPY ($1.65) for size M or L fries.
This is not the first time Kanaria has produced a song as part of a collaboration. IN July 2024Kanaria wrote “Champion,” which was the final song on Project Volt. Project Voltage is a crossover campaign Pokemon and Hatsune Miku.
Other creators besides Kanaria participating in McDonald’s campaign include Elu of Nijisanji And Irasutoyaa website specializing in royalty-free clip art illustrations. Elu may appear as part of this collaboration due to her name, as it sounds similar to “L” in Japanese. For the Irasutoya collaboration, you can use free images of people of all ages happily holding potato chips.
McDonald’s JPY 250 fries promotion is only available in Japan and will last until November 22, 2024.
