Virginia authorities are investigating after a loaded gun was found in a 6-year-old child’s backpack.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, an investigation “revealed that a 6-year-old student brought a gun to school.” Additionally, authorities explained that no one was injured in the incident. Furthermore, no threats were made.

“…As parents and grandparents, we all have a responsibility as gun owners to always keep our weapons safe and responsible for them.
