While some foodies like to eat pineapple on pizza, others completely reject the idea of fruit and pizza going together. However, that hasn’t stopped foodies from adding mangoes to their pizzas. It’s clear that the fruity coating on pizza isn’t going away anytime soon, but we’ve recently discovered an odd combination of pizza with fruit that has us baffled. In the video, we see a man taking a slice of watermelon and baking it on a pan. Then he spreads barbecue sauce over the grilled fruit and adds that “Bbq sauce suits watermelon better than tomatoes”. The grilled watermelon slice became the pizza base, which he garnished with cheese and topped with pepperoni. He bakes it again and finally, enjoys what he calls a slice of watermelon pizza.

The video was uploaded to Instagram by a handle named @9gag and, with attribution given to @oli.j.paterson97. That’s not all. Later in the video, we see the man roasting a watermelon as if it were a ham. With over 5.4 million views, the video of the watermelon pizza went viral!
