Indian food is slowly becoming a source of global interest. The humble Indian cuisine has charted a path for itself to become part of the buzz around the cuisine. From Hollywood stars to celebrities, it’s no longer surprising to see people enjoying a hearty Indian meal. On social media too, we often see citizens from different countries and ethnicities experiencing Indian curries and breads; and share their amazing reactions which have been a hit with desi food enthusiasts. In a recent viral video, a French man is spotted eating dal and paratha cooked by his fiancée, an Indian. He misspelled Paratha’s name, and his adorable mistake sent the internet into a frenzy.
The video was shared on Instagram Reels by @Sharumulla, a Canadian musician. She shared a clip of her French fiance, Arnaud Ober, in which he can be seen sitting with a plate of Indian food in his lap. Sharu asks him to identify the dishes on his plate. While the Frenchman quickly identified the Dal, he struggled with the name of the Indian bread aka Paratha. He made a cute fake pas and called it ‘Pamatha’ instead! “Recommend calling it pamatha from now on,” read the caption to the post.

The video went viral in no time, receiving over 8.8 million views and 845k likes. Thousands of comments also poured into the lovely video of the cute Indo-French couple. “From now on it’s pamatha >>>> don’t worry it’s just a letter,” commented one reader, while another said, “The last time he said dal & parantha looked so cute.” Others said that they even forgot what the name of the bread was, “I even forgot for a moment!”
