Gretchen Rossi44 years old, sadly announcing her partner Slade smiley facethe son of Graysonwill pass on February 7th. Real Housewives of Orange County star taken to Instagram to share memorable photos of the 22-year-old over the years and reveal that he passed away after a battle with brain cancer. She also called the loss “unbearable” and asked everyone to “respect” their “privacy” during this devastating time.
“Our rational mind tells us this day could come, but our hearts always hold out hope that this day won’t come true We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the loss of our hearts. Gray’s cool. 😔 Grayson Arroyo-Smiley is a special person,” Gretchen wrote in the post’s caption.
“He was an Angel on this earth and an incredible warrior…a warrior no one had ever seen before,” she continued. “He fought daily with his pain and discomfort to find joy in the smallest things. He always sings, dances and laughs despite his circumstances. He is a true beacon of light and hope. Although his life was cut short on earth, he made an amazing impact on so many people. God knows his life has a purpose and will touch many people along the way.”
She added: “We are forever grateful for the many lessons we learned from this little man and will miss his great spirit. “May God take him in his arms, renew his broken body and give him life again. 🙏🏻This is not goodbye but see you again little boy…..We love you Mr. Grayson. You will forever be in our hearts ❤️ Love your dad, Gretchen & your sister Gray Skylar.”
Gretchen’s loving message comes after Slade previously revealed Grayson was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006. In 2018, he gave an update to Page Six and said he was “hanging there.”
He just turned 17, praise God, he told the outlet. “He has a lot of complications, but he is doing physical therapy regularly. We have school coming home, so he really looks good. Really, really good. I’m pretty excited.”
Both Gretchen and Slade as well as Grayson’s mother, Michelle Arroyooften shared various updates on Grayson’s condition on social media sites and a special page website exclusively for him.
