Although we broke up for nearly 3 years, but Victor Cruz don’t dodge questions about his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Victor said he is still friends with Tran and talks to her often.
The former Super Bowl champion talked about his current condition with Tran during an appearance on Rotary audio file. Released on January 31, the episode briefly addresses navigating the public divide. Victor reflected on a Zoom meeting during the pandemic where one participant mentioned Karrueche.
“I remember doing… it was like the whole Zoom meet and greet, and they went through different rooms. Just one room, my friend [turned the camera] like, ‘what happened to you and Karrueche’ and I was like, ‘life happened, man.’”
Victor said he was smiling the whole moment. Participants accept their answers and move on to the next topic.
“Those are the things you have to deal with. Those are the things that come with territory. But again, it doesn’t affect my daily life. It doesn’t affect the way I move about life. I have to answer some questions about why… me and her broke up, I could answer that question all day. It wasn’t anything malicious, it was just two people going their separate ways, going their separate ways in life.”
Cruz added that a person feels “they need to do it alone,” and the other feels that “they can not,” but he doesn’t specify which scenario applies to him and Karrueche.

Cruz also explained that breaking up doesn’t mean the end of a friendship “human” to each other, especially in tragedy.
“Still friends to this day. There are still conversations from time to time. You know she just had something happen to her in her life. She lost her father. I lost my father. You reach! We’re human, man, we’re not like aliens but once we break up, oh my god, I have to create this division. We’re still human, she still needs someone who’s been through something similar to reach out and say, hey, I’m here if you need someone to talk to.
Karrueche’s father passed away this month and the actress revealed her emotional state on January 23 to fans online.
“The past seven days have been difficult, getting that call that I’ve always dreaded…making decisions I wasn’t prepared for…to attend Sundance, that’s what I prayed…trying to celebrate success. my analysis while in pain…felt a lot of emotions at once and felt numb at the same time.

Karrueche and Victor had parted as long as they had been together. The former couple went public in December 2017, drawing fans to their relationship by appearing on red carpets, awards ceremonies, and making romantic gestures in public.
However, by February 2021, a source said E! News the couple had decide to move “moving forward in a separate life” with “not feel hard.” The source’s statements reflect the narrative Cruz explains in Swivel axis.
Although the former athlete is available to answer questions, he has previously proven that he is not here for the insults. Months after the breakup, Cruz clapped in response to an Instagram user who suggested him “groping” Karrueche.
And while he openly discusses his ex-girlfriend on the podcast, Cruz doesn’t seem to be lacking in the love department. A few days after welcoming the New Year, Victor was spotted with a mysterious bikini-clad woman in Barbados. New York Post Office first released the images. Although they share smiles and laughter in the photos, it’s unclear if Cruz and the woman are dating.
