Vauxhall discounts Crossland, Grandland and Insignia

Vauxhall readjusted Crossland, Grandlandand Signof the cutting level structure. In the process, the company has added some standard equipment to each specification and reduced the price of some of its models by up to £2,400.

All three cars now have the same basic trim level structure, separated into three specifications called Design, GS Line and Ultimate. Price for Vauxhall Crossland now starting at £18,415, almost £2,000 cheaper than the old SE Edition base model.

The cheapest Design model builds on the old SE’s specification, adding safety equipment like forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Buyers also get 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen and lane departure warning.

Prices for the Crossland GS Line start from £20,840 with Vauxhall’s cheapest 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine. Upgrades over the base model include 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, contrasting black hood and gloss black exterior trim. The infotainment system has also been replaced for an eight-inch larger unit, and dual-zone climate control is now standard.

VauxhallThe new Ultimate spec for the top-of-the-range adds 19-inch alloys, LED headlights and body-color alternatives to the bumpers, wheel arches, door sills and skid plates. The cabin has also been upgraded, with heated front seats, Alcantara upholstery, a heated steering wheel and a panoramic rear view camera. Prices start from £24,515.

It’s a similar story to Grandland. Vauxhall has removed the Elite trim of the old model and added a bit of standard equipment to the remaining three models. Prices start from £25,810 for the cheapest Design spec (or £615 cheaper than the old SE model), for which buyers will get 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, lane assist roads, a seven-inch infotainment system and all the safety equipment found on Crossland Design.

The Grandland GS Line raises the SUV’s starting price to £28,070, but the extra money gives it 18-inch alloy wheels, round LED lights and alloy effect skid plates. Inside, there’s also a major tech upgrade with Vauxhall’s 10-inch infotainment system and 12-inch digital gauges as standard.

Premium-branded cars start from £31,570, £1,525 cheaper than the previous flagship model. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, Vauxhall Pixel LED headlights and a body-color styling package with the Crossland. Inside, the car also has heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Alcantara upholstery and some additional safety equipment such as blind spot assist and lane position assist.

The Sign line-up shares the first two versions of Vauxhall’s new line-up, but there are no Ultimate specs – just Design and GS Line here. The former option costs from £30,720 and comes standard with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control and an 8-inch infotainment system.

The Insignia GS Line starts at £33,975. Design specification upgrades include 20-inch alloy wheels, Alcantara interior trim, AGR-approved sport seats, and wireless smartphone chargers.
