Utah’s Clarkson scored 25 points from the bench; Jazz tie series

5 Utah Jazz end of first round, best series seven with Dallas Mavericks number 4 after a whirlwind 100-99 wins on Saturday.

Of Utah Jordan Clarkson lifted the Jazz with a great performance off the bench. Clarkson finished with the top 25 of his teammates, shooting 9 to 16 from the field and 3 to 5 from three.

With the Jazz going 54-42 after halftime, the Mavericks came back violently in the third quarter, surging past Utah 39-24 to take an 81-78 lead in the fourth round.

After a final round of back and forth, the Jazz overcame the Mavericks, 99-98, with just 18 seconds remaining. Donovan Mitchell made a perfect tackle for Rudy Gobert, who knocked out the winner of the game with 11 seconds on the clock.

Gobert finished with 17 points and led the team with 15 rebounds.

Donovan Mitchell has 23 points and 7 assists for the Jazz.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic is the Mavericks’ scorer with 30 points, while keeper Jalen Brunson has 23 points to take the lead in Dallas’ effort.

After breaking down the first four games of the series, Dallas will host Utah for Game Five on Monday at 9:30 p.m. on TNT.
