Usyk’s promoter says the rage fight isn’t happening

Via Brian Webber: Promoter Alex Krassyuk says that negotiations with Tyson Fury have not gone well for his boxer Oleksandr Usyk and that he believes the bout will not go on April 29 as they had hoped.

Krassyuk revealed that for the money Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) is asking for, even if he agrees to split 90-10, it won’t be enough. Indeed, even if Usyk took nothing, there wouldn’t be enough money to meet Fury’s demands for the fight, Krassyuk said.

Given that Fury isn’t even in train His camp and high demands suggest to Krassyuk that he never wanted to fight Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) in the first place.

Krassyuk jokes that for the money Fury is asking for, he might be interested in buying a team, but he’s serious about his valuation of himself. He doesn’t believe Fury ever wanted to fight Usyk in the first place.

“The worst thing about all of this is that he became a huge star just because of the fans. You have to pay off for your fans. Otherwise, you will sink into oblivion. It’s disrespectful to treat boxing fans like that,” Alex Krassyuk told iDBoxing news about Tyson Fury.

“Most likely he doesn’t want to fight Usyk. He may have problems with his health or mental state. The reality is that the negotiations did not go well. The negotiations went well but the results were not satisfactory.

Krassyuk talks about the 60-40 deal he offered Fury, with the winner receiving 60%. “Not Usyk, but the ‘Medium Rabbit’. Just enter the fight, split 60-40, with the winner taking the larger share.

“It’s not normal for boxing, but it’s good motivation for the boxers to do it. Are not. I think even if you offered him 90 to 10, he would refuse. Maybe he wants to buy a football club and that’s why he is looking for money.

“Looks like we won’t be fighting on April 29. I think they weren’t in training camp, so they didn’t decide to fight,” Krassyuk said of his lack of Fury in training camp, meaning no chance to fight in April.

“According to their reports, Tyson asked for too much money,” Krassyuk said of what George Warren told him. “Even if Usyk got nothing in the fight, it wouldn’t be enough for Tyson to meet his needs.

“Usually, when a boxer doesn’t want to fight, he asks for the impossible,” Krassyuk said.
