Usher Explains Why He Postponed His Atlanta Tour Show

He took to social media, including Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), to explain the last-minute change. Additionally, the ‘Confessions’ singers have promised to compensate those who have already purchased tickets!

As mentioned, Usher released a written statement about the postponed Atlanta show. He began by acknowledging the “blood, sweat, and tears” he has poured into his long career to deliver “the greatest performances” and create memorable experiences for fans.
The singer added that he had every “intention” of doing the same on his ‘Past, Present and Future Tour’. But to get to that level, Usher said he needed a “break”, hence the cancellation of the Atlanta show.
“…I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body time to rest and heal,” he wrote. “You will still get a little bit of the past, a little bit of the present, and a unique glimpse into the future on the rescheduled date, but you will also get 100% of me.”
Usher admitted that the “last thing” he wanted was to “disappoint” his fans, especially the crowd in Atlanta tonight.
“However, I wouldn’t be able to become the entertainer I am today if I couldn’t give my all to you,” he added.
The male singer shared that his team will soon announce the re-organization date, but did not specify when the announcement would be made.

After it became clear that Usher would not be at State Farm Arena tonight, fans expressed their disappointment and congratulations to the singer on social media.
On Instagram, his statement attracted nearly 60,000 likes and more than 2,700 mixed comments within just an hour.

You’ve had since February to get everything ready. I’m so sad and so angry. You knew this last night, I bet you were going to perform Friday and Saturday.”
