US Special Operations Command Receives Radio Frequency Countermeasures System
US avionics giant Northrop Grumman announced on Tuesday that it has transferred its radio frequency countermeasures system to US Special Operations Command.
NG said the ALQ-251 radio frequency countermeasures (RFCM) system was delivered to US Special Operations Command as part of the AC-130J aircraft upgrade.
The operators of these large aircraft will benefit from safe maneuverability in contested common environments, the company notes.

The ALQ-251 will provide superior situational awareness and protection against electronic warfare systems and radar-guided weapons in congested and conflicting electromagnetic spectrum environments.
Sierra Nevada Corporation is the integrator for the AC-130J and MC-130J RFCM programs.
