US retailer Walmart launches spring 2022 collection


Walmart has announced the launch of its spring 2022 collection, the first collection under the influence of American fashion designer Brandon Maxwell as creative director for the Free Assembly and Scoop brands. Free Assembly is an extensive collection of more than 500 products for men’s, women’s and children’s fashion. Scoop is more about vibrant colors and energetic prints.

“Spring has always been my favorite season. That’s when I’m most excited as a designer. For example, with the Free Assembly collection, I wanted it to exude a sense of fun, optimism, and color. I started thinking about how it would all come together in the end, really ensuring that the collection was presented in a way that it was all planted from the same seed. Ultimately, it’s a story about being happy and being together, always blooming and new,” Maxwell said in a statement.

Maxwell, who oversaw the entire creative process of Free Assembly and Scoop, worked closely with the design team and partners to align with overall themes to ensure that each collection was unified. and tell a cohesive design story.

And, as you know, Denise, we have a common vision to make beautiful clothes accessible to everyone. I have enjoyed working closely with the design team and Walmart partners over the past year to bring this vision to life. There is nothing more rewarding than clothing that helps people look and feel their best no matter where they come from, who they are or what their budget may be,” said Maxwell, who completed a year at Walmart as its chief creative officer.
