The U.S. Army is equipping a new weapon system on Strykers, replacing the Remote Weapons Station, as part of a larger effort to give Infantry Vehicles more lethality.
The details were released in a February 17 media release, announcing that the WarHorse Brigade at Fort Carson, Colorado has begun equipping and training on the Conventional Remote Weapons Station-Javelin and Conventional remotely operated weapons station.

The CROWS and CROWS-J systems also allow Troops to engage threats from within the Stryker, providing a more lethal approach to eliminating threats from afar.
