[Update] Sony’s Wheel of Death is coming to Xbox PC games next week

Update, 8/19/22:

It’s an interesting title to read, isn’t it? And it’s true because after teasing earlier this week that Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding is coming to PC Game Pass, Xbox has announced that it’s launching the service next week.

More specifically, Death Stranding is coming to PC Game Pass next Tuesday, August 23. Now, this might come as a bit of a surprise for those who haven’t caught up on Death Stranding’s journey from PlayStation 4, to PlayStation 5, and then PC. Sony and PlayStation funded the development of Death Stranding by Kojima Productions and it is the intellectual property of PlayStation.

However, a PC port was published by 505 Games, and it appears that 505 Games and Kojima Productions are entitled to determine the location of this game’s PC port. As such, it has now come to PC Game Pass, a service owned by Xbox. Something tells me we won’t see Death Stranding coming to Xbox Game Pass.

“Windows 10/11 PC gamers can look forward to features like ultra-wide mode, photo mode, high frame rate, and crossover content from some very popular franchises,” reads one post. on the blog Xbox writes. Furthermore, the PC Game Pass version of Death Stranding will also include the following items, which can be unlocked as you progress through the story:

  • Chiral Gold / Omnireflector “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses (Color Variations)
  • Gold and Silver Electric Skeleton
  • Gold and Silver Skeletons for All Terrain
  • Gold and silver armor plate

Xbox seems to be aware of the questions surrounding this development and how a Sony game is coming to its PC Game Pass service, and they say, “we will try and deliver as much as we can in the future.” future Community Q&A guidelines.” The blog post says to keep an eye on that and follow the social media channels of 505 Games and Kojima Productions for more information.

Original story, 8/17/22:

Death Stranding is one of the best games of 2019 (in my personal opinion) and it’s a game I hope everyone gets a chance to try. Sure, you might not like it, but if it hits, it hits.

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players know it, as the game was a PlayStation exclusive at launch. It’s coming to PC in 2020, but you have to buy it right away like any other PC game. Now Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can get a chance to try this Norman Reedus-led adventure across the US with their subscription if a new, slightly cryptic tweet comes from the PC account. The official Game Pass is whatever happens.

Check it out for yourself below:

As you can see, PC Game Pass draws attention to the fact that it has changed its profile picture to a familiar landscape image. If you look at the profile picture, you’ll see what appears to be a landscape photo from Death Stranding. Now, it could be a different game but like, come on, it’s Death Stranding, right?

All of this being said, it looks like a game formerly exclusive to PlayStation – mind you, a game developed by indie studio Kojima Productions sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment – is coming to PC Game Pass, a subscription service that is part of the Xbox Ecosystem.

Have you played Death Stranding, and if so, what do you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!
