UPDATE: BioWare teases next batch effect with clueless video clip for day 7, hidden audio decoded

Update, November 8th: Fans noticed that a woman’s voice was faint in the background of the clip that they couldn’t hear. Hours after posting the teaser, a fan decoded the background audio to reveal the conversation between what sounded like Liara and Geth. BioWare acknowledged this breakthrough by releasing a new clip version with clear audio. You can hear it in the tweet below.

Original story: November 7 is Day 7 for Mass Effect fans, which means all eyes are on BioWare in the hopes it will reveal any information about the upcoming Mass Effect sequel. next. So far, the developer has responded to that demand by releasing a brief introductory video that contains hints of what’s to come.

According to BioWare, fans should examine the 25-second clip “a little more closely” as it appears to be filled with clues. One tweet provided a link to download the video, although you can watch it above. It features what appears to be a series relay under construction. The text in the bottom left corner seems to confirm this. It reads:

Vacuum relay building monitoring/profile station operated by Green Dagger LTD. Deepspace Dhow SAV Property / Ship Captain: Sub-Navarach Soa’Rhal Zhillian-Jones.

For interior use only

SA —— 314 —— ///// 11_07_90_000_1000-201.48.16 –FILE BAT

You’ll notice that the numbers at the bottom change as the camera zooms, similar to a video timer. You can spot some large ships floating nearby, but the one that stands out is the smaller one with the blue engine running across the bottom right near the “MR 7” decal. Some fans have theorized that it is the ship that appeared last year N7 Day teaser; others have suggested that it is Stormy from Mass Effect: Andromeda. There is also the question of the planet the relay orbits.

The Fifth Mass Effect has been officially announced through a preview version during The Game Awards in 2020. We still don’t know anything about the game, including its expected release window. In May, BioWare accidentally revealed the return of Commander Shepard thanks to a Collectible lithographs with the store description, “While Shepard and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces, fans are left wondering what’s next.” However, BioWare quickly changed this text and clarified that it was an error written by online store owners unfamiliar with the franchise. With BioWare also work hard Dragon Age: Dreadwolflooks like it’s expected to come first, anyone can guess when we’ll get our first major look at Mass Effect.
