(Update) A$AP Rocky released from prison after posting $550,000 bond over shooting-related arrest
A$AP Rocky went from a Caribbean vacation with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna to police custody in Los Angeles. As previously reported, the LAPD picked up Rocky shortly after landing at the city’s international airport. Obviously, the authorities caught and placed artist involved in a November 2021 shoot. Within three hours of his arrest, Rocky was released from prison after paying a $550,000 bond.
Officers made a reservation for Rocky at 12:42 p.m. local time., according to a report by the LA County Sheriff’s Department. He was caught by law enforcement while landing on a private jet bound for LAX. NBC News confirmed through law enforcement sources that Rihanna is here during incarceration.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Holiday in Barbados
Last week, the paparazzi captured the couple’s arrival in Rih’s hometown of Barbados.
Rocky also shares ties to the country from his father’s side. Rihanna revealed in one Vogue interview that his father immigrated to the United States from Barbados.
“To see him in a space where he is imagining his father as a boy, walking the streets his father walks, eating the same food as his father ate, that really heartwarming,” said Rihanna Vogue about their 2020 holiday visit.
Their most recent trip came shortly after rumors broke that A$AP Rocky had severed his relationship with Amina Muaddi. The fashion designer closed baseless claims in a statement released on social media on April 15.
“I have always believed that an unfortunate lie spread on social media does not deserve a response or clarification, especially a lie that is so despicable,” Amina wrote. At first, I thought this fake gossip – created with malicious intent – would not be taken seriously.
A$AP Rocky named suspect in 2021 shooting
Police named Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, a suspect in a November 6 shooting that occurred near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Per. NBC, The alleged shooting had not been previously reported so it is unclear what caused the situation to surface. However, the shooting victim appeared to be cooperating with police.
According to the victim’s account, A$AP Rocky and two others were walking in his street. Rocky then allegedly fired two or three shots at the victim. Only one bullet appeared to have made contact, believed to have grazed the victim’s left hand. Police say the shooting happened after an argument escalated.
