Officials said on Thursday a police chief of the Uttar Pradesh Police was beaten here by four men on motorbikes after he dragged them on a motorcycle without a helmet.

Police have registered an FIR in connection with the incident, a video that purports to be spinning around on social media.
In the video, four men are seen hitting and abusing the head of a police officer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Raj said, “The police chief of Para Srikant police station stopped four men riding motorbikes without helmets. The men handled the police chief.”
“An FIR has been registered at Para police station. We have identified the accused and are working to arrest them,” he said.
