Unofficial ChatGPT App with Subscription Fee of $7.99 Apple App Store Trends: Report

An unofficial ChatGPT app is reportedly trending on Apple’s App Store. ChatGPT is a free AI tool available to all users worldwide on the web. However, an unofficial app version of the web-based AI chatbot seems to be trending on the App Store. An app called “ChatGPT Chat GPT AI With GPT-3” is charging Apple users a subscription fee, and claims to work like OpenAI’s popular chatbot software designed to mimic human-like conversation people based on user prompts.

According to one report by MacRumors, an unofficial app that claims to be an app version of OpenAI’s ChatGPTa free text-based AI tool for all available on the web, is trending on Apple’s App Store. The original model was developed by openAI be based on GPT-3, which stands for Generative Pre-training Transformer 3, and is currently being hailed as the next biggest innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. However, the trending app is to name ‘ChatGPT Chat GPT AI With GPT-3’ and has no affiliation with the creators of ChatGPT. The app has risen to the fifth most downloaded app spot in the App Store’s Productivity section.

According to the report, the suspicious ChatGPT app is charging users $7.99 (about Rs 650) for a weekly subscription or $49.99 (around Rs 4,100) for an annual subscription, while there’s no linked with OpenAI’s ChatGPT AI technology.

ChatGPT is currently only available on the web. However, the technology on which the chatbot is based, GPT-3 developed by OpenAI, has seen various applications and services built from it for many applications, such as chatbots, language translation, etc. Applications are currently trending on Apple The App Store has no affiliation with ChatGPT or GPT-3 technology originally developed by OpenAI and, therefore, may provide inaccurate or low-quality results.

The app claims to be number one on Top Charts in over 100 countries. Meanwhile, the application’s description in the App Store also acknowledges that it is in fact an unofficial version of ChatGPT on the web.
