There are three different versions of Umamusume: Beautiful horse race starting gate curtains: silver, gold and rainbow. The color of the starting gate in the game corresponds to the rarity of the horse girl you have. Like real life gacha, you can’t really choose which curtain you’ll get. Instead, it costs 6800 JPY ($44) for a random curtain. To increase your chances of getting one of the rarer versions, you can also buy a 10-pack for 68,000 JPY ($439.80).
Umamusume: Beautiful horse race is one of the more popular and profitable franchises from Cygames, with the company announcing in May 2024 that the game had made them surpass 2.4 billion yen in revenue. This represents more than 70% of the money Cygames earned from mobage from February 2021 to March 2024, and that doesn’t even include anime profits, movieand goods. The game focuses on gathering equestrian girls based on real-life racehorses, raising them, and then racing them. It also has a main story mode as well as individual character stories that you can play after wooing a girl.
