Zelensky of Ukraine joins Twitter's One-Word Trends. His post wins the Internet

The Ukrainian President’s social media post is part of a recent Twitter trend.

New Delhi:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on Friday, shared a Twitter post containing only one word – “Liberal”, becoming the latest figure to join the trend.

The Ukrainian President’s social media post is part of a recent Twitter trend where brands and celebrities tweet a word they identify with most. It is a type of brief designation of the most easily identifiable characteristic or quality of a person or brand.

In the context of the recent Russo-Ukrainian war, “Freedom” denotes what the war was about for the Ukrainians.

Thanks to the internet, Volodymyr Zelensky painted a picture worth thousands of words with just a one-word social media post.

The tweet gained massive traction on the social media platform. It was liked 168k times and retweeted 16.8k times.

Users shared their own memes and replies in response to Volodymyr Zelensky’s tweet.

The “one word trend” took Twitter by storm. The trend even got the office of US President Joe Biden involved.

The trend is said to have been started by the social media team of American train service provider Amtrak. Amtrak’s Twitter handle posted a tweet on Thursday that read only “train”. The trend has since taken on a life of its own.
