Ukraine war: Russian police carry away anti-war protesters
Russian police are said to have arrested hundreds of protesters who gathered against the Kremlin’s decision to summon thousands more troops to fight in Ukraine.
This footage shows protesters being taken away by police in Moscow, St Petersburg and Yekaterinburg – with one of them shouting “no war” as he is carried by several officers.
The Moscow prosecutor’s office warned on Wednesday that calls on the internet to join unauthorized street protests or to participate in these protests could carry a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
