Ukraine war: Johnson and Zelensky tour near-empty streets in Kyiv
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Together they walked through the streets of Kyiv and met a passerby.
Mr Johnson’s last-minute visit to the capital was unannounced – the first sign of his arrival, appearing with a tweet by the Ukrainian embassy in London showing a photo of him meeting President Zelensky. Downing Street said the Prime Minister traveled to Ukraine in an attempt to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
