UK ticket-holder stakes claim for biggest ever £195m jackpot in EuroMillions draw | UK News

A UK ticket holder has claimed the biggest ever £195 million jackpot after Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw, Camelot said.

Jackpot 195,707,000 pounds hit the cap after no one won the top prize in Friday night’s draw.

The claim will go through a series of checks to ensure its validity before the winnings are paid out.

Camelot said no information will be released about whether the claimant is an individual or an institutional winner, or where the ticket was purchased unless the ticket holder decides to go public.

“This is great news,” said Andy Carter, senior adviser on Camelot winners at the National Lottery.

The winning numbers are 06, 23, 37, 40, 41 and the Lucky Stars are 02 and 12.

Only 15 people in the UK have ever won more than £100m, putting the latest winners in elite companies.

What can you buy for £195.7 million?

It’s no surprise that £195.7m goes a long way.

Despite the sharp increase in property prices this year, the winnings will still be a respectable 696 homes, based on the latest average.

Or how about a private jet?

This lucky winner will be able to take three friends flying in style – all on a separate plane with four Gulfstream G550 aircraft.

The hefty sum will also buy 23 Pisces-VI Submarines, Southampton Football Club or a townhouse in London’s Mayfair, complete with steam rooms and plunge pools, a cinema room and a full chef’s kitchen enough amenities.

It also means they will be richer than Adele (worth £150m).

Tuesday’s lucky ticket holder will also beat previous record winners Joe and Jess Thwaite, a couple from Gloucester, who revealed their identities after winning £184m at EuroMillions back in May.
