UK bond market under pressure again
The Bank of England has stopped buying perennial bonds as part of the rescue plan over the past two days, helping to spur a fresh sell-off in UK debt markets.
Yields on UK government bonds have risen this week, with the 30-year yield rebounding from 3.8% to 4.4% last Friday. It peaked at 5.1% last week. Yields increase when prices fall.
