The police said that the participants – members of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad – issued abusive slogans that encouraged hostility.

“Offensive slogans were raised during the June 29 protest in Gurugram to protest the murders in Udaipur. An FIR has been registered on June 30 by Gurugram Police in this regard,” the police tweeted.
Videos of insulting slogans being made against Muslims have gone viral on social media.
Dozens of people gathered in a park around 5 p.m. on June 29 and marched through the city. According to police, they also burned an effigy of ‘jihadist terrorism’ and held up provocative slogans against the Muslim community. The participant also requested to hang the defendant and pay compensation of ₹1 crore to the dependents of Kanhaiya Lal.
Police said they became aware of the suo moto after seeing the viral videos.
Kanhaiya Lal, a seamstress, was brutally killed by two men who videotaped the murder and later bragged about it in a video. He was at his shop in the busy Dhan Mandi market when the attackers, Gos Mohammad and Riyaz AkhtariStep into client pose before attacking him.
A local court on Thursday sent Mohammad and Akhtari to judicial custody for 14 days.
