UConn led by as much as 10 in the second quarter, but NC State chipped and dropped even in the fourth quarter. In the final seconds of regulation, Wolfpack had a chance to win, but Kai Crutchfield’s last three-point effort was missed and the two teams finished extra time 61-61.
The Huskies took a three-man lead in the final seconds of extra time – partly thanks to the non-controversial call – but NC State tied the match with three-pointers from Jakia Brown-Turner with less than a second left to force overtime to double.
