Ubisoft announces Project Q, a team-based arena fighting game

Ubisoft has officially revealed Project Q, a multiplayer fighting game that was leaked last year.
In September 2021, a list of upcoming PC games was identified and leaked from Nvidia’s GeForce Now. As Eurogamer reported at the time, Project Q was one of four codenamed titles listed by Ubisoft, who issued a DCMA takedown request of the listing after it appeared online.
The French publisher confirmed the existence of Project Q on Twitter on Saturday, saying that the game is in early development and that players can sign up to test the upcoming gameplay. The timeframe for these tests is unknown. Ubisoft later clarified in the same Twitter thread that Project Q is not a battle royale and will feature some PvP modes. It also states that there are no plans to add NFT to the game, which is clearly a concern given Ubisoft’s enthusiastic foray into the concept but was not accepted. Quartz communication.

Test footage leaked from Exputer show some matches from the game. It appears to be a colorful third-person shooter that’s no different from Fortnite with exotic weapons like a flare gun and melee items like a scepter and even Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir.
According to Project Q’s registration location, the game is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Ubisoft Connect. It has no release window.
In other recent Ubisoft news, several private companies seem to be looking for a way publisher acquisition. About the other new multiplayer titles, the new Ghost Recon game has step into development.
