Via Charles Brun: The day after his team won the auction, jubilant WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury trained hard and pushed for his title defense still announced April 23 ahead of mandatory Dillian Whyte .
Fury posted a clip of him on a weight loss run, predicting a knockout victory over 34-year-old Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs).
Tyson is a team player, worked hard to promote his fight after his ad team bid $41 million for his fight with Dillian. To make that money back and turn a profit, Fury and Whyte will need to work tirelessly to promote the event.
Rated top and ESPN were forced to bid higher than they could have due to Eddie Hearn’s boxing company doing their best to win the bid.
“Dillian Whyte, I’ll take you down, you slut,” Fury spoke heavily on Saturday.
Over the next three months, the overweight, 33-year-old Fury needed to lose a lot of weight to get close to the 277 lbs he weighed last October for a trio fight with Deontay Wilder.
Since that win, Fury has been eating well, gaining weight quickly and looking like the boxer that knocked Deontay down before his second loss in his career.
Hearn says Whyte fought dangerously for Fury
Whyte will be very dangerous for Fury, especially if he is still feeling the aftermath of his fight with Wilder last October.
Fury was knocked out twice by Deontay, and the only reason he survived to win was that Wilder got out after the fourth round.
Along the way, Fury was given a gift in the fourth round as the referee seemed to slow down after he was disqualified for the second time. Some boxing fans believe Fury took 11 seconds before getting up and getting the classic long score.
Looks like he didn’t beat the count, but oh well, no wonder the fight wasn’t paused. If you watch Fury’s first fight with Deontay, this is very relevant.
“It’s very dangerous for Tyson Fury, especially after all this because sometimes you lose that opportunity,” Eddie Hearn told Professional Boxing Fans when asked his assessment of the game. Fury’s title defense against Whyte in April.
“He [Fury] may have fought for the undisputed [against Oleksandr Usyk], and then he may have fought AJ. Instead, he fights Dillian Whyte for much less money in a really tough fight, and Dillian will love it; he really likes it. Hearn said.
“Tyson Fury owes Dillian Whyte a fight; he’s a must-have for WBC,” Mike Coppinger told ESPN. “Of course, Usyk owes Joshua a rematch as part of the rematch clause when Usyk beat Joshua in September.
“So behind the scenes, they’re trying to set aside the deal [for Joshua]. Controversy in June in Saudi Arabia.
WHY Joshua & Dillian ignored the collapse deal
The combination of Joshua and Whyte wanting money aside and Fury is said to have insisted on a calibrated fight in March as the undoing of the deal to get AJ and Dillian to step aside.
Fury asks for a tune-up fight before facing Usyk who tells you he doesn’t like going into battle.
“At the last minute in the eleventh hour, I was informed that the parties involved were trying to renegotiate for a little more money, and then the deal fell through. So now we’re getting Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte,” Coppinger said.

“There’s nothing wrong with that. Max Kellerman said Fury faces a strong contender in the top five. “Fury defended his title against Whyte and then faced winner Usyk-Joshua or Usyk or Joshua?That worked for me, tell you the truth.

Joshua rematches Usyk
Joshua will likely lose his rematch with Usyk, and then he will face a challenging career decision. We’ll see if Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) wants to continue with his declining career.
I guess Joshua would fire his coaching team a second time, believing that if he went with another coach it would improve his chin condition and poor stamina.
The reality is, those areas aren’t going to improve no matter who captains the sinking ship Joshua. You can’t change a weak chin and terrible stamina, no matter who trains you.
“This is boxing’s talented era right now; Looks like we’re going to knock Usyk and Joshua out in the rematch, right? ‘ said Kellerman.
“That’s the plan. Usyk still owes Joshua a rematch just like Andy Ruiz owes him a fight after beating him,” Coppinger said. how [last September].
