Tyson Fury says Anthony Joshua bout is over: ‘It’s officially over!’ | Boxing News

Tyson Fury has announced he will not fight Anthony Joshua as “no contract has been signed” after a self-imposed 5pm deadline on Monday.

Joshua said on Sunday he would sign on to fight Fury after the WBC champion issued an ultimatum if they put together an all-British heavyweight bout this year.

Fury, who initially urged Joshua to sign on Monday, back to Instagram says Joshua has until 5pm or else he will walk out of the deal.

But Fury later took to Instagram to say: “It’s official. D-day has come and gone. It’s been over 5pm on Monday, no contract has been signed. It’s officially over for Joshua. He currently out in the cold with the Wolfpack. Forget it. Idiot. Coward!”

He went on to say, “I always knew you didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King. Good luck with your career and life.”
