Tyson Fury offers strict WBC decision deadline after latest retirement
Tyson Fury has been given an ultimatum after announcing his retirement.
34 years old called time in his career earlier this weekleft the sport as a unified world champion and two-time Ring Magazine belt winner.
Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) celebrated his birthday on Friday and revealed that he hung up his gloves for good.

Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, said:

“[I am] very proud of him. He has confirmed his retirement, to play like a champion, as a family man with money [and] with a great future. “
But now, he only has 12 days – until August 26 – to confirm his decision to retire.
In an interview with IzquierdazoSulaiman says:
“We contacted his promoter and we gave him over 10 days, until the 26th, to confirm in writing whether it is final and that way. , go ahead and solve the problem.
“He’s been a great hero in and out of the ring.”
It remains unclear whether the belt will be vacated in time to potentially be attached to a showdown next month.
