Tyson Fury is confident about how the Joyce-Joshua fight plays out
Tyson Fury has backed a clear winner in a potential bout between Joe Joyce and Anthony Joshua.
‘The Juggernaut’ and ‘AJ’ are one of two different trajectories in the last division.
Joyce has held her undefeated record in more than 15 games, ending 14 of them in a knockout. 2022 see a career best win over Joseph Parker and put him in a good position to win the world championship title in the next twelve months.
In another corner, Joshua is in comeback mode. After soaring to the top, becoming a unified world champion, and finding himself just one belt away from his long-term goal of undisputed, ‘AJ’ took the lead by two years with Oleksandr Usyk. consecutive times.
He’s currently out of the headlines for the foreseeable future and is looking for big fights to remind fans of what he’s up to. Joyce would fit the bill nicely.
However, the WBC champion, Fury, said iFL TV that Joyce would defeat Joshua easily.
“I think he mopped the floor with Joshua – but, again, we’ll never see that.”
It’s clear that Fury still holds some resentment over broken talks with Joshua – claiming we’ll ‘never see it’ because he believes the former champ doesn’t want the challenge self.
The ‘Gypsy King’ is credited with identifying Joyce as his biggest threat in the division, calling him the number two heavyweight on the scene – despite still saying he would deal with him easily.
As for ‘AJ’, he beat Joyce long ago in the amateur category. However, the 2011 fight didn’t have much of an impact on how a professional competition would play out.
‘The Juggernaut’ has spoken out about the score settlement, and it’s a fight that may only take place when the dust of the undisputed fight between Fury and Usyk settles.
