Tyson Fury changes his mind about ‘second heavyweight in the world’

Tyson Fury, who currently holds the WBC Heavyweight belt, is keeping an eye on men who may want to claim his throne.
The “Gypsy King” was a two-time heavyweight world champion. On both occasions, he won the title in the opponent’s backyard by a margin. He’s definitely #1 or #2 – because there’s another champion – in the league, but who is he ranked right below him?
In a weight class filled with lucky upcoming talent and stalkers still searching for glory, Fury is on Instagram to give a definitive answer to the strongest contender on the planet – excluding himself, of course.
“I had a great day watching boxing – watching all the big fights and researching all the heavyweights – and I have to say the big Joyce is the second heavyweight in the world, after myself. And on his day, with his moment, who knows if he can beat me. “
“One day we’ll have to find out who’s better than me or him, but for now, I’m dominating because I’m the World Heavyweight Champion and he’s not, but he’s the king to come. With everyone, don’t worry about it. “

It was a change from his usual answer. Until recently, Fury consistently picked Deontay Wilder as the second best fighter in the tournament. Fury defeated him twice, but was knocked down a number of times on the way there.
Maybe the opinion of Joyce is, indeed, so high right now because he just go to the other side of a tough fight. So we often see mismatched matches and it is difficult to judge how good a fighter is really. What ‘The Juggernaut’ has shown against Joseph Parker, another world-class contender, is that the best way to prove his level is to challenge yourself.
Fury said that he also watched the likes of Filip Hrgović and Zhang Zhilei, but neither of them came close to Joyce. There is no mention of the other current heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk. The prospect of a Fury-Joyce fight is an exciting one, especially now that the champion has changed very recently it was suggested that the challenger ‘couldn’t hit him with a handful of rice.’
While Joyce rested and recuperated for a while, Fury looks set to fight Mahmoud Charr on December 3 – another name that he does not mention when it comes to the best fighters in the division.
