Tyson Fury and Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson exhibition match in the works in November in London

Via Charles Brun: Tyson Fury will fight an exhibition match against strongman, weightlifter and boxer Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson in November in a stadium bout in London.

WBC heavyweight champion Fury (32-0-, 23 KOs) told the Telegraph he expects 70,000 fans to come see him fight Thor Bjornsson, 33. That’s an ambitious number for a war that doesn’t fit, and it’s unclear if it will make even 15,000 men.

It is thought that Fury vs. Bjornsson will be shown on pay-per-view, and it will be hilarious if it doesn’t bring in many purchases.

This exhibition It could be a huge failure if the promoters try and sell it to boxing fans in the US for $80. Such a fight only makes sense if it’s free and if it’s packed with pro wrestling cards.

Americans won’t buy this trash because they know better. They know as soon as they see it. It’s possible that Fury’s fans in the UK will buy it in bulk, but not fans in the US.

With Fury holding the WBC belt hostage, choosing to fight in the show instead of defending it against top contenders, the World Boxing Council should stand up and strip him of his belt rather than let him. Freeze your belt for money.

Fury didn’t say whether admission to the event was free, as he was talking about fighting Anthony Joshua for free. That is not the case.

“It was great to be there in front of 70,000 fans and show him all about boxing. Make him miss and knock him out,” Fury said to walkie talkie.

It’s disappointing that Fury, 33, is following in the footsteps of Floyd Mayweather Jr by winning money fighting non-boxers in circus events. It is believed Fury is waiting to cash out against rematch winner Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk II.

Some people believe that Deontay Wilder took away Fury’s hunger against a talented opponent after he knocked him down four times in their three skirmishes and robbed him of 2 KO wins. Wilder knocked out Fury in round 12 of their first bout and round four of their trio.

After the punishment Wilder unleashed in his three battles with Fury, ‘King Gypsy’ doesn’t want anymore. He’s looking for match-by-match with Thor and aging UFC fighter Francis Ngannou. After Fury’s showdown against Thorm, which would be a joke, he’ll be up against winner Joshua-Usyk 2, as long as AJ comes out on top.
