Tyson denied he was in talks with the Saudis to take on winner Joshua vs. Usyk II

Via Charles Brun: Tyson Fury responded briskly on Saturday to deny reports he was in talks with Saudi Arabia to fight winner Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk 2.

It was an unbelievable story from the start because it’s fair to say Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) would NEVER go up against a talent like IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Usyk (19- 0.13 KO).

The talent that won the 2012 Olympic gold medal Usyk is not at all true for Fury, and he will make him look like a monkey in the ring with his skill, quick moves and counterattacks.

Yes, it would be believable if news related to Fury’s imminent retirement provided Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) win the rematch, but not because of the situation he might need. facing Usyk.

That would be equally troublesome, and Fury’s precious undefeated record could be ruined. What Charles Brun wants to know is why is Fury still holding the WBC belt if he’s retired?

Is he keeping it as a keepsake, or is he secretly planning his retirement to face the AJ vs. Usik?

Either way, the World Boxing Council should have given Fury a deadline to decide if he plans to retire or continue as their champion.

Eddie Hearn knows Fury very well, and he said this week that he will NOT retire if Usyk wins his rematch with Joshua. If anyone knows what Fury will do, it’s Hearn.

“I think if Usyk beats Joshua, I think he will retire because I don’t think it’s him [Fury] want to fight Usyk“Eddie Hearn said to iFL TV about Tyson Fury.

“But I think if AJ wins, and I really believe he will, you will see the biggest fight in boxing history. [Joshua vs. Fury]”Hearn said.

I agree with what Mr. Hearn said here about Fury not having to fight Usyk. Fury wants a fight with Joshua because it’s a win-win for ‘The Gypsy King’.

Even if AJ gives Fury a new back, the dough he’s going to make will make it worth it. Fury could cry to the bank with the sweet pile of cash he’s going to make from his fight with Joshua.

It would be dynastic money that could be passed down from generation to generation. Of course, with Usyk having the ability to defeat Joshua again, that’s pointless.

For the casual boxing fan, it’s confusing that Fury doesn’t fight Usyk because he can still get the big bank to fight him, but when you’re defending an undefeated record, that’s it. changes everything. You redirect the best.
