Two-time champion Ouija Board dies aged 21


Ouija board two-time grass champion mare, died on 29 November in England at the age of 21.

Sired by cross nose and get out Selection Committee , by Welsh Pageant (FR), Ouija Board was the winner of 10 races, nine of which were stakes and earned $6,312,552. At age 3, she won Darley Irish Oaks in 2004 and Vodafone Epsom Oaks in 2004, ending that year with her first Breeders’ Cup win. The following year, at the age of 5, she won the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase. In her final racing year, Ouija Board won a Prince of Wales Share and a Vodafone Nassau Share before adding another Breeders’ Cup title to her resume.

Her other products are Aegaeusby Monsun; Filia Reginaby Galileo; border guard via dubawi ; and voodoo prince , by Kingmambo. Filia Regina, Ouija Board’s only daughter, is a foster mother at Stanley Estate and Stud.
