Two helicopters collide in mid-air near Sea World theme park in Australia – crash was fatal | World News
Two helicopters collided near a marine amusement park in the Australian state of Queensland.
The collision, just outside Sea World on the Gold Coast, happened around 2 p.m. local time as the park was busy with families enjoying a summer break.
Queensland Ambulance Service said 13 patients were being evaluated at the scene, while local media reported four people were killed in the incident.
ABC News reported that one of the helicopters with the Sea World logo made a successful landing after the collision.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau confirmed that the mid-air collision was fatal.
ATSB director Angus Mitchell said investigators will soon arrive at the scene to look into what happened.
