New Era at Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) will mean new leadership, as CNBC’s David Faber said Thursday night that Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal have left side corporate headquarters and won’t be back.

That shows that setting up a new leadership team will become a top priority for billionaire Elon Musk when he embarks on owning the company. “Elon Musk is in charge of Twitter right now,” Faber said.

Meanwhile, Twitter’s top legal and policy executive, Vijaya Gadde and General Counsel Sean Edgett have was also fired, New York Times report – at least one of the fired directors has been escorted out of office.

The deal is inching closer to closing before the legal deadline on Friday to close the deal.

Musk brought in Tesla (TSLA) Engineers will meet with product leaders at Twitter headquarters on Thursday, Bloomberg reported, to learn about the Twitter program and help Musk understand it.

That code is on a fresh freeze until Tuesday and won’t change for now with a pending change of control closing.

Earlier, amid reports that advertisers were raising concerns about a Musk-led Twitter (about censorship issues and conflicts of interest), Musk wrote a open letter to the team to clarify his motivation.
