Twitter is turning to outside developers for help in stopping harassment on its platform. According to a new test, the company will recommend third-party moderation apps as an additional measure users can take on the app’s built-in tools,

With the update, for the first time reported by TechCrunch, Twitter will make recommendations for a range of third-party apps when users block or mute others. Currently, the apps include a tool that allows people to automatically block accounts that are likely sources of harassment; , can automatically moderate responses; and help users manage their mentions.

These tools are already available, but former Twitter users had to search for these services to set them up. Now, the company will introduce them in its app and website along with its own blocking and muting tools.
