TVS Raider 125 is a motorcycle for commuters. It is currently the most affordable motorcycle in India featuring a digital TFT instrument cluster.
TVS The Motor Company has launched a new variant of the Raider 125. The new top-of-the-line variant will sit above the entire lineup and be called the Raider SmartXonnectTM TFT. It is priced at 99,999 (ex-showroom) and manufacturers have started accepting pre-orders. The new variant will be offered in two colors matte black and glowing gold. TVS Raider prices start at 85,973 (factory).
The biggest highlight of Aircraft 125 is the new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. It displays a digital instrument cluster, trip meter, odometer, time, fuel gauge, average speed, driving mode and gear position indicator.
The TFT display also takes advantage of the manufacturer’s SmartXonnect cloud connectivity technology. It’s a Bluetooth-enabled system that displays a series of trip analytics to help drivers gauge their ride and style. In addition, the motorcycle offers voice and navigation assistance, an incoming call feature, an option to transfer images and trip reports.
Raider 125 is the most affordable TFT display motorcycle.
Other features offered are LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. There’s also Smart Auto Stop technology, under-seat storage, side rack indicator and engine shut-off, and a USB port for mobile device charging.
Mechanically, there are no updates to the Raider 125. So it continues to come with a 3V air-cooled and 124.8 cc engine. It produces a maximum power of 11.4 hp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. There are two driving modes offered, Eco and Power. The motorcycle boasts the best 0-60 km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds and an impressive top speed of 99 km/h.
Braking duties are performed by a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm disc or drum brake at the rear. Suspension is done on TVS, Raider 125 by telescopic fork at the front and 5-step monoshock at the rear.
