TVS Motor Company announced that the company’s operating revenue has increased by 15% to $6,454 crore for the quarter ended December 2022. When compared to the quarter ended December 2021, revenue stood at flat $5,706 cores. The manufacturer also announced that electric vehicle sales in the third quarter nearly doubled compared to the previous quarter.
The tram registered sales were 29,000 units in the quarter ended December 2022 compared with 2,000 units in the quarter ended December 2021 and 16,000 units in the quarter ended September 2022.
Currently, TVS only has iQube electric scooter in its lineup. The manufacturer has significantly updated the iQube in 2022. It is offered in three variants, Standard, S and ST. Standard has a price $1.67 lakh while iQube S costs $1.72 thousand. Both prices are ex-showroom.
While the Standard and S were on sale, the ST was postponed because the manufacturer was experiencing some issues regarding the battery packaging. However, it seems the issue has been resolved as TVS introduced the iQube ST at Auto Expo 2023 and customers will soon receive a link to a dealer where they can pick up the electric scooter.
The company registered total two-wheeler sales of 8.36 thousand units in the current quarter compared to 8.35 thousand units in the quarter ended December 2021. Export sales of two-wheelers registered 2, 07 thousand units compared to 2.53 thousand units in December 2021. Total registered sales of tricycles was 0.43 Lakh units in the quarter ended December 2022 compared to 0.44 Lakh units in quarter ended December 2021.
