Tuukka Rask signs with AHL team to start again

Providence announced on Thursday that Rask had joined the team under a trial agreement, almost six months later he has undergone surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip. Rask revealed the injury shortly after the Bruins were knocked out in the 2021 knockout round by the New York Islanders. “I wouldn’t play for anyone other than the Bruins. This is our home,” Rask said in a press conference June 2021. “We have three kids. The kids love it here. They have friends at school. We have friends. At this point in my life and career, I see no reason to go anywhere. other, especially with my health” I’m looking at it now and the recovery time is five or six months. “
Rask joined the Bruins in 2007 and has started 539 career regular-season games and 104 playoff games for the franchise. He won the Vezina Trophy in 2014, recognized as the NHL’s top scorer.
Without Rask, Boston is 17-10-2 and fourth place in the Atlantic Division. The Bruins relied on a combination of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman in the grid.
