Last summer, Turn 10 Studios and Xbox Announce a new item in the critically acclaimed Forza Motorsport series, built from the ground up for the Xbox Series X/S. The studio has made lofty promises about the kind of experience it can deliver with new hardware, and during today’s Xbox Developer Direct we got more information about the next entry in the racing franchise. simulation car, known simply as Forza Motorsport.
Turn 10 Studios called the entry “a generational leap forward to the Forza Motorsport series.” For the first time in the series’ history, Forza Motorsport has the time of day and weather fully dynamic, affecting the way cars handle; track temperatures and surface conditions combine with the texture of the driving surface to ensure that every lap is distinct.
These races take place across 20 environments with multiple track layouts available at launch. Fans can look forward to their favorite locations from past Forza Motorsport titles, as well as five brand new locations. One of those locations is Kyalami, the first South African site in the history of Forza Motorsport. Each of these vehicles is customizable using over 800 unique upgrades and modifications.
