Turbo Golf Racing Combines Rocket League Action with Golf
Rocket League’s mix of soccer and car combat has proven to be a hugely successful example of an idea that is “just silly enough to work”. Turbo Golf Racing borrows from a similar playbook by combining ultimate arcade racing with golf.
The upcoming title sends players into a chaotic race to lead their respective giant balls into a huge hole. You can jump, dash, glide, and flip your car to hit the ball through power-ups and over obstacles like sand traps and trees to get it to the hole before your opponent. Uphill sport courses increase speed, and over hills deploy the gliders on cars. Up to eight competitors can compete online, and you can see how the races unfold in the trailer below.
Equipping cars with super cores offers perks like the ability to smash balls at longer distances or the power of a stomp on the ground. You can also upgrade your car thanks to a range of unlockable cosmetics such as paint, body type, accessories and tires. Free updates will add additional courses, power cords, and customization sections.
Turbo Golf Racing will have a beta in the near future (you can sign up this) and will launch in Steam Early Access before the release of version 1.0 later this year. Once there, the game is expected to launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and will be available on Game Pass.
