Trump’s lawyer said he would run for president even if he were in prison
One of Donald Trump’s lawyers has told the BBC that the former president is “the victim of selective, political prosecution”.
On Thursday, Mr. Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
He said he plans to appeal his historic conviction, and in a Sunday interview with Laura Kuenssberg, Alina Habba emphasized that even if he were jailed, he would run for office because there are “people who need him”.
