Trump reportedly has super-useful plans to visit Springfield, Ohio, the city he and JD Vance continue to spread baseless lies about Re: Haitian migrants eating livestock

Donald Trump Rumor has it that he plans to visit Springfield, Ohio, the Midwestern city that has become the talk of him and his traveling companions. JD Vance‘S WRONG claim about Haitian migrants stealing people’s pets and eating them. Trump’s plan is disclose Sunday on NBC News, and if you thought it was a good idea for the former president to appear in Springfield at some unspecified date, then you probably believed Trump when he declared at last week’s presidential debate, “They’re eating dogs… they’re eating cats.”

To be clear, it would certainly be helpful if Trump came to Springfield and said these words: “There is absolutely no truth to the baseless claims that migrants here are consuming people’s livestock, and anyone who says otherwise is simply trying to incite division and hatred. These claims have been completely debunked and must stop now.” But clearly that’s not going to happen.

One obvious reason that won’t happen is that Trump is Trump, and he’s incapable of uttering a coherent thought. These people want to perpetuate these disgusting lies about Haitian migrants, something Vance acknowledged over the weekend when he said he was happy to “create stories.”

In an interview on Sunday, Ohio senator speak by CNN Dana Bash: “The American media completely ignored this until Donald Trump and I started talking about cat memes. If I have to create stories to get the American media to actually pay attention to the suffering of the American people, that’s what I’m going to do.”

After Bash noted that it sounded like Vance was saying he made up these stories, he emphasized: “It comes from the firsthand accounts of my constituents. When I say we’re creating a story, I mean we’re creating the American media to focus on it. I didn’t create 20,000 illegal immigrants coming to Springfield because of Kamala Harris‘her policies. Her policies did that. But yes, we created a real focus that allowed the American media to talk about this story and the suffering that Kamala Harris’ policies caused.”
