MDCRTravis Scott was arrested in Miami on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and trespassing during an argument on a boat in the early hours of Thursday.
According to official records, the American rapper was arrested by police at Miami Beach Marina at around 01:45 local time.
An arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department seen by BBC Newsbeat said officers were called to reports of people fighting on a cruise ship.
According to the Miami-Dade County Department of Corrections website, the 33-year-old man is detained under his real name, Jacques Bermon Webster.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance on the cruise ship and saw Travis Scott yelling at people on board.
Police said they spoke with the rapper and could “sense a strong odor of alcohol” on his breath.
According to the report, they told him to leave the dock and he did so, but he “walked backwards and yelled obscenities at those on board.”
Scott then left the area, but five minutes later was seen by police returning and attempting to return to the yacht, according to the report.
According to police, when challenged, he “disregarded police orders” and became “erratic”, shouting and disturbing local residents.
After his arrest, the report said, “the defendant then admitted that he had been drinking and said, ‘It’s Miami.’
Travis Scott is a 10-time Grammy nominee and one of the most famous hip-hop artists in the world.
He was previously in a relationship with Kylie Jenner and the couple had two children together.
His European tour will kick off in the Netherlands on June 28, with a show scheduled in London and at Co-Op Live venue in Manchester on 13 July.
In 2021, 10 fans died in a crowd surge at Scott’s Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas.
He do not face criminal charges in their deaths but is still involved in civil cases claiming that the organizers are at fault.
