Trapped whale rescue under way in France

A beluga whale has been retrieved from the Seine river in France, in a surgery involving 80 people.
The 800kg whale was stranded in the river, 100 kilometers (62 miles) inland, and its health began to deteriorate as it struggled to find food.
Helpers, including divers, police and dozens of veterinarians, worked through the night to pull the animal out of the river and into a refrigerated truck to bring it back to shore.
It will be monitored and treated for several days before hopefully being released back into the open sea.
